This Windsor perch was made for Fiona my wonderful wife for over ten years now for valentines day February 14th 2013. The perch was inspired by Peter Galbert of “Chair Notes” http://chairnotes.blogspot.fr/search/label/perch. I have made some alterations to his design not least the shape of the seat which is heart shaped to emphasise the gift of love. The legs are much more ornate as its designed for a woman and not intended to be used in a workshop as is Peter’s. The seat is made form laminated walnut and the legs and stretchers from chestnut cut from our own hedges with a small heart of walnut connecting the stretchers in the centre.
